General notes:

- Numbering begins at 1 (unless otherwise noted).

- Sponsoring organizations obtain plates by placing a deposit of $6,800.

- These organizations have the option of pre-assigning numbers 1-100 in most cases.

- If any low numbers are not claimed within 5 years, they are subject to being returned to the general population.

- Non-profit organizations may apply for plates without specific Legislature approval

- as of 7/6/1999 (SB150); rev.4/24/2002 (SB597); rev. 9/14/2006 (SB613)

- Legislature authorization does not mean automatic issue; most still have to provide deposit.

- If any plate falls below 300 registrations, production may be ended and issued until existing supply is exhausted.
